Our Nursing Home Facility located in White Plains is seeking an experienced full-time Resident Finance Coordinator. RESIDENT FINANCE COORDINATOR SUMMARY 

As a Resident Finance Coordinator, you will spearhead the meticulous management of New York State Medicaid applications, insurance data, and diverse financial office responsibilities. Your pivotal role ensures the accuracy of financial records while navigating complex financial processes with finesse.

  1. Resident Finance Coordinator will aid Residents and Designated Representatives in completing NYS Medicaid applications.
  2. Collaborate closely with Department of Social Services Case Workers to ensure timely and accurate processing of Medicaid applications.
  3. Resident Finance Coordinator Fulfill all 3559 reporting obligations to counties.
  4. Resident Finance Coordinator Maintains accurate payer source records for all Residents and promptly communicate any issues to VP of Finance/Administrator.
  5. Refer and escalate problem cases to the designated attorney.
  6. Liaise with Attorneys or external consultants regarding Medicaid applications and ensure necessary documentation is obtained.
  7. Collaborate with billing company providing requisite billing information and updates on pending Medicaid applications.
  8. Assist Residents and Designated Representatives with billing inquiries in coordination with billing company.
  9. Conduct Insurance Verifications, Financial Pre-Screen, and Insurance pre-authorizations as required.
  10. Furnish billing information to Healthcare providers on behalf of Residents.
  11. Facilitate Social Security Representative Payee applications and Direct Deposit Forms.
  12. Undertake the responsibility of re-certifying Insurance Companies applications, MLTC’s, Medicare, and yearly Medicaid certifications.
  13. Support with yearly reporting for accountants, surveys, etc.
  14. Assist with Finance Office tasks including daily census, mail sorting, and scheduling UPS shipments.
  15. Maintain organized files in the back storage room and oversee annual file transfers.
Requirements
  1. Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  2. At least 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper and Experience in completing State Medicaid applications.
  3. Excellent communication and organization skills.
  4. Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.
  5. Exemplary customer service skills.
  6. Competent computer skills with knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Salary Description
$48,000.00 - $58,000.00
