Director of Recreation
Paramount at Somer's is looking for a talented and hard-working Director of Recreation to join our ever-growing team.
Responsibilities:
The Recreation Director is responsible for providing an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the physical, social, educational, and spiritual needs of every resident, as per the current federal and state guidelines and regulations.
The Recreation Director will be expected to plan, coordinate, develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that is appropriate for all levels of abilities and participation, and ensures that each resident has an individualized plan of care that outlines current participation.
Additionally, the Recreation Director is responsible for hiring and supervising all recreation staff/ volunteers and ensuring that they are trained appropriately and given equipment, supplies and resources necessary for the programs’ success.
Director of Recreation Qualifications:
Must have prior experience a Recreation Director
Must have Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) Certification
Must have long term care experience
Ability to plan, develop, implement and facilitate programs
Excellent group facilitation skills
Experience in managerial role and ability to lead and develop a dynamic team
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Must be reliable, responsible, and have the ability to lead and inspire others
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 a year (based on experience)
