We are seeking a skilled and compassionate part-time (weekends and evening for approx.15 hrs/week) Respiratory Therapist RN to join our healthcare team.The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a passion for improving patient outcomes and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities include:
1.Respiratory Therapy:
·Assess, plan and implement respiratory care plans for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions
·Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry and nebulization.
·Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and assess respiratory status
·Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment, treatments, and disease management
·Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans
·Participate in rounds, care conferences and patient discharge planning meetings
2.Documentation and Compliance:
·Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
·Ensure adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols
Qualifications/Requirements:
·Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (AND or BSN) required
·Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
·Experience: Previous experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, or related areas
·Skills:
oProficiency in respiratory care techniques and nursing procedures
oStrong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making abilities
oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
oAbility to work in high pressure situations and maintain a calm demeanor
Compensation :$50/hour
