Maintenance Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to oversee all maintenance operations within our Skilled Nursing Facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Maintenance Director Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily maintenance operations, including preventative and corrective maintenance

Ensure compliance with CMS, DOH, life safety, and environmental regulations

Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance staff and contractors

Manage building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, generators)

Conduct routine inspections and ensure timely repairs

Support survey readiness and address deficiencies promptly

Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation

Manage budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships

Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed
Maintenance Director Qualifications:

Prior maintenance leadership experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare facility preferred

Strong knowledge of building systems and life safety requirements

Experience with preventative maintenance programs

Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Must be able to respond to on-call or emergency needs
