Assistant Administrator – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Administrator to support the overall operations of our Skilled Nursing Facility. This role works closely with the Administrator and department leaders to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and efficient facility operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a background in long-term care who is looking to grow into an Administrator role.
Assistant Administrator Key Responsibilities

Assist the Administrator in daily facility operations and strategic planning

Support regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local requirements

Participate in survey preparation and response (DOH, CMS, etc.)

Monitor quality of care, resident satisfaction, and staff performance

Help manage budgets, staffing levels, and operational expenses

Collaborate with Nursing, Admissions, Social Services, HR, and other departments

Address resident and family concerns in a timely and professional manner

Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives

Ensure facility policies and procedures are followed consistently
Assistant Administrator Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)

2+ years of experience in a leadership role within a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting

Knowledge of CMS regulations and survey processes

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
-
Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities

LNHA or Administrator-in-Training (AIT) license/certification is a plus
