We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and ensure the delivery of exceptional, resident-centered care in our Skilled Nursing Facility. This leadership role is ideal for a strong clinical professional with proven expertise in regulatory compliance, staff development, and quality outcomes.
Position Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Director of Nursing (DON) Key Responsibilities

Oversee all nursing operations and clinical services

Ensure compliance with CMS, DOH, and state regulatory requirements

Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and frontline staff

Manage staffing, scheduling, and department budgets

Prepare for and oversee state and federal surveys

Monitor quality metrics, infection control, and resident safety

Implement and maintain QAPI programs

Collaborate with the Administrator, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary team
Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of employment (required)

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred

Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience in a SNF
-
Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
