Cortlandt Healthcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Director to lead and manage all HR functions within our healthcare facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional with strong knowledge of employee relations, compliance, and healthcare HR operations.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and performance management, while ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
Human Resources Director Key Responsibilities

Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for all departments

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations

Manage employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary processes

Administer benefits, leave of absence, and payroll coordination

Maintain personnel files and HR documentation

Provide guidance to leadership on HR policies and best practices

Support union and non-union employee relations (as applicable)

Coordinate training, orientation, and performance evaluations

Assist with survey readiness and audits

Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures
Human Resources Director Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Minimum of 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care

Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Experience with employee investigations and conflict resolution

SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
Salary: Up to $70,000 per year
