$145,000 annually Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced
Risk Management Nurse (RN) to oversee incident management, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction initiatives within our Skilled Nursing Facility. This role plays a critical part in promoting resident safety, supporting quality improvement, and minimizing clinical and operational risk.
Risk Management Nurse (RN) Key Responsibilities: - Investigate incidents, accidents, and grievances; ensure timely follow-up and documentation
- Track, trend, and analyze events such as falls, injuries, pressure ulcers, and medication errors
- Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to reduce risk
- Ensure compliance with CMS, DOH, and state regulatory requirements
- Participate in QAPI and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide staff education on risk prevention, documentation, and safety practices
- Support survey readiness and assist with regulatory responses
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and legal counsel as needed
Risk Management Nurse (RN) Qualifications: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (NY)
- Prior risk management or quality experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting required
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and patient safety standards
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
