Interim Assistant Director of Nursing for our Skilled Nursing Facility. The ideal candidate will have prior
Assistant Director of Nursing experience in a Long Term Care setting, an upbeat energetic personality, and be a team player.
DUTIES: - Risk Mitigation & Investigation: Review all incident reports, conduct root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures to reduce liability.
- Compliance & Audit: Monitor clinical indicators, review 24-hour reports, and ensure medical records are accurate and complete.
- Survey Preparedness: Assist in preparing for state/federal long-term care surveys.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to identify, document, and monitor clinical trends.
- Policy & Procedures: Update and enforce infection control policies, medication management procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Participates in morning meetings , department head meetings, care plan meetings, QAPI and other meetings as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - License: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a SNF or long-term care setting, with a focus on risk management.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of CMS, DOH, and HIPAA regulations.
- EMR: Point Click Care experience required
KEY SKILLS: - Clinical Competence: Ability to assess resident care quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data to detect trends.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to collaborate with staff and administration to maintain a safe, high-quality care environment.
