Registered Nurse (RN)
Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.
Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Management:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and manage patient progress, addressing changes in condition and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Ensure that all patients receive individualized care based on their needs and preferences.
Staff Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Assign duties and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and identify areas for improvement.
- Address and resolve patient and family concerns, ensuring satisfaction and effective communication.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Prepare and submit reports on patient care, staff performance, and any incidents or concerns to facility management.
Emergency Response:
- Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, coordinating with emergency response teams as necessary.
- Provide leadership during crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning and decision-making processes.
Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to make sound clinical decisions and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
