Position Overview The ADON / Risk Management Nurse (RN) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations while leading the facility's risk management and quality assurance initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk exposure, and promoting resident safety and clinical excellence.
ADON / Risk Management Nurse (RN) Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership - Assist the Director of Nursing in daily clinical operations
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to nursing staff
- Participate in staffing oversight and performance management
- Promote clinical best practices and adherence to standards of care
Risk Management & Compliance - Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses
- Monitor and track adverse events, trends, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support survey readiness and coordinate responses to audits
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to reduce liability exposure
Quality Assurance - Participate in QAPI initiatives
- Analyze clinical data and implement performance improvement plans
- Monitor infection control, falls prevention, wound care, and medication management programs
ADON / Risk Management Nurse (RN) Qualifications - Active and unencumbered RN license
- Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
- Leadership experience (ADON, Unit Manager, or similar role preferred)
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management practices
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive clinical outcomes
Salary: Up to $145,000 per year
