Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist (IP) to join our leadership team at our Skilled Nursing Facility. This dual-role position supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations while leading the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Salary: Up to $125,000 a year (Based on experience)
Key Responsibilities: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): - Assist the Director of Nursing with daily oversight of nursing operations and clinical staff
- Support staffing, scheduling, training, and supervision of nursing personnel
- Ensure delivery of high-quality resident care in compliance with CMS, state regulations, and facility policies
- Participate in surveys, audits, QAPI initiatives, and corrective action plans
- Address clinical issues, incident reports, and follow-up actions
- Act as Director of Nursing designee as needed
Infection Preventionist (IP): - Develop, implement, and oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program
- Conduct infection surveillance, tracking, and reporting
- Educate staff on infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene, PPE, isolation, and outbreak management
- Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and state health department guidelines
- Lead outbreak investigations and mitigation efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation for surveys and regulatory review
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist (IP) Qualifications: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2-3 years of nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Prior experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, or Infection Preventionist strongly preferred
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, F-Tags, and the survey process
- Infection Preventionist training or certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
