Assistant Administrator - Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)About the Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Administrator to support the overall operations of our Skilled Nursing Facility. This role works closely with the Administrator and department leaders to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and efficient facility operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a background in long-term care who is looking to grow into an Administrator role.
Assistant Administrator Key Responsibilities - Assist the Administrator in daily facility operations and strategic planning
- Support regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Participate in survey preparation and response (DOH, CMS, etc.)
- Monitor quality of care, resident satisfaction, and staff performance
- Help manage budgets, staffing levels, and operational expenses
- Collaborate with Nursing, Admissions, Social Services, HR, and other departments
- Address resident and family concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure facility policies and procedures are followed consistently
Assistant Administrator Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role within a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting
- Knowledge of CMS regulations and survey processes
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
- LNHA or Administrator-in-Training (AIT) license/certification is a plus
