Director of Nursing (DON) We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced
Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team at a long-term care facility. This is a full-time leadership position.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): - Evaluate, improve, and implement processes within the nursing department to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
- Oversee all clinical and administrative functions of the nursing team on a daily basis.
- Ensure residents receive appropriate care and services to support their highest level of physical, emotional, and social well-being, in alignment with individualized care plans.
- Promote a care philosophy rooted in evidence-based practices and a commitment to excellence in resident outcomes and quality of life.
- Act as a liaison and advocate for both residents and nursing staff.
- Maintain high standards of care through effective onboarding, ongoing staff development, adequate staffing levels, and up-to-date policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing supervisors and management staff.
Qualifications: - Prior experience as a Director of Nursing in a long-term care setting is required.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Strong ability to assess operations and implement improvements within a nursing department.
