Job Summary Luxor at Mills Pond Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and motivated
Food Service Director to lead our dietary department. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations, ensuring high-quality meal preparation, compliance with healthcare regulations, and an exceptional dining experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities - Direct and manage daily operations of the food service department
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations
- Plan, develop, and implement menus that meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences
- Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff
- Monitor food quality, safety, and sanitation standards
- Manage department budget, inventory, and purchasing
- Collaborate with clinical teams to meet residents' dietary needs
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to food service operations
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, or related field (preferred)
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary compliance standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
