The Paramount at Somers is seeking a Full time RN Staff Educator
The Paramount at Somers is a cutting edge, 300-bed, deficiency-free skilled nursing facility. In addition, The Paramount is a NYS DOH CNA training and testing site and certified to train Paid Feeding Assistants.
We are searching for an RN Staff Educator. This position reports to the Director of Staff Education and assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating the day-to-day nursing education needs of the facility. This position will focus on assisting with coordination of our CNA training and testing program as well as in-servicing clinical staff as needed.
Requirements
NYS RN License required with a Nursing degree from accredited college or university.
Minimum one year experience as a licensed nurse in a hospital, long-term care facility or other related health care facility.
Minimum six months' training experience in rehabilitation and restorative nursing practices and/or staff education strongly preferred.
Expectations / Position information
Position requires intermittent off shift and weekend in-servicing
Maintenance of all licensure and certification requirements, including CEUs for licensure and CPR/BLS Certification
