The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The COTA will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve daily living skills, independence, and overall quality of life.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated rehabilitation professional who is passionate about resident-centered care and teamwork.
Responsibilities - Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions to help residents improve functional independence and daily living skills
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
- Assist residents with activities related to mobility, self-care, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
- Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and treatment goals as directed
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures
Qualifications - Active Florida Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
