The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists to provide high-quality therapy services that help residents improve mobility, strength, independence, and overall quality of life.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated rehabilitation professional who is passionate about resident-centered care and teamwork.
Responsibilities - Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to residents
- Monitor resident progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Assist residents with gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises
- Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes
- Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and exercises as directed
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures
Qualifications - Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
