Admissions Director The Director of Clinical Admissions establishes a strong business presence with target audiences, including but not limited to: Acute Care providers, physicians, and others as identified within assigned geographic area to build awareness for the Nursing and Rehabilitation and its services.
He/she matches capabilities to patient needs and facilitates patient flow from Acute Care providers into the facility to meet or exceed census. He/she also makes patient acceptance and placement decisions on behalf of the Nursing and Rehabilitation and communicates decisions to referral sources based on published performance standards.
Duties Include: (but not limited to) - Promote the Nursing and Rehabilitation, both internally and externally. Serve as a business resource and initiate referral relationships where possible.
- Maintains a current target list of potential new referral sources
- Complete pre-admission assessment accurately either personally or by telephone to gather clinical and financial information
- Aggressively seek out potential clients and facilitate referrals into the Nursing Center.
- Respond to referrals based on published productivity/performance standards.
- Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements: - Five to seven years of recent clinical experience.
- Preferred case management experience
- Must read, write and speak the English language
- Experience in business/development preferred.
- Prior experience in utilization review or discharge planning preferred.
