A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee business office operations while managing Medicaid applications, resident accounts, collections, and insurance-related processes.
This position is ideal for a healthcare administrative professional with strong knowledge of long-term care billing, Medicaid eligibility, and skilled nursing facility business office operations.
Responsibilities - Oversee daily business office operations within the facility
- Manage Medicaid application processes, pending cases, and renewals
- Work closely with residents, families, and responsible parties regarding financial matters
- Monitor resident trust accounts and private pay balances
- Coordinate insurance verification and billing processes
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all federal and state regulations
- Follow up on outstanding balances and collections
- Collaborate with admissions, social services, and facility leadership regarding payer sources and financial eligibility
- Maintain accurate records and financial reports
- Assist with audits, surveys, and compliance initiatives
- Provide excellent customer service and professional communication to residents and families
Qualifications - Previous Business Office Manager and/or Medicaid Coordinator experience in a skilled nursing facility required
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and long-term care billing processes
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care insurance plans preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive financial information
- Proficient computer and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
