Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to join our leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about providing exceptional nutritional services and enhancing the dining experience for our residents.
The Certified Dietary Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department, ensuring high-quality food service, regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and effective team leadership.
Responsibilities- Direct and oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and facility regulations related to food service and sanitation.
- Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure residents receive appropriate nutritional care.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and mentor dietary staff.
- Maintain food quality standards and resident satisfaction with meals and dining services.
- Monitor food production, meal service, and portion control.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and food cost controls.
- Ensure proper food storage, sanitation, infection control, and safety practices.
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as needed.
- Maintain departmental records, audits, and documentation.
- Assist with survey preparation and ensure ongoing regulatory readiness.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment within the Dietary Department.
Qualifications- Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of dietary management experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation Center, Hospital, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dietary regulations, sanitation standards, and food service operations.
- Experience supervising and leading dietary staff.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of CMS, state survey requirements, and long-term care regulations preferred.
