Clinical Nutrition Manager (Registered Dietitian) to oversee the clinical nutrition program and lead our dietary services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nutrition professional who is passionate about improving resident health, developing effective nutrition strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of care.
The Clinical Nutrition Manager will play a key role in overseeing nutritional assessments, care planning, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support positive resident outcomes.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the clinical nutrition program for the facility.
- Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Monitor residents' nutritional status, weight trends, laboratory values, and dietary needs.
- Ensure appropriate implementation of therapeutic diets, supplements, and nutrition interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, speech therapy, dietary staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to the Dietary Department.
- Supervise, train, and mentor dietary team members to promote quality and compliance.
- Participate in care plan meetings and communicate nutrition recommendations effectively.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, state regulations, and industry standards related to nutrition services.
- Conduct nutrition audits and implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Monitor food service operations to ensure meals meet resident needs, preferences, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and support to residents, families, and staff regarding nutrition-related topics.
- Assist with survey preparation and maintain survey readiness.
Qualifications- Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as required by New York State.
- Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, clinical nutrition standards, and therapeutic diets.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
