RN Unit Manager to join our nursing leadership team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about leading clinical teams, mentoring staff, and ensuring residents receive exceptional care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.
As the RN Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit, promote quality outcomes, and foster a positive, resident-centered culture.
Responsibilities- Manage the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit.
- Supervise, coach, and support RNs, LPNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Ensure residents receive high-quality, individualized nursing care in accordance with physician orders and care plans.
- Conduct daily rounds and promptly address resident, family, and staff concerns.
- Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and resident care planning.
- Partner with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes.
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain survey readiness and support state and federal inspections.
- Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and best clinical practices.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, or Subacute Rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of CMS regulations, New York State requirements, and nursing standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
