Physical Therapy Assistant Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Valid licensure (or eligibility for licensure) to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the state of Florida
- Prior experience in skilled nursing settings is preferred Membership in state and national Physical Therapy Associations is advantageous Proficiency in physical therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with medical staff Commitment to maintaining patient and employee confidentiality
- Familiarity with Medicare and third-party reimbursement processes is desirable
