Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Environmental Services and Maintenance to oversee the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the facility. This role leads environmental services and maintenance operations, supporting a clean, comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance operations.
Lead, schedule, train, and support environmental services and maintenance staff.
Establish and monitor cleaning, sanitation, and facility upkeep practices.
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and work orders.
Monitor building systems and equipment, and arrange timely service when needed.
Maintain supply inventories and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Support compliance with applicable safety, sanitation, and infection prevention requirements.
Participate in facility inspections, surveys, and emergency preparedness activities.
Respond to resident and staff concerns related to cleanliness, comfort, or facility conditions.
Qualifications
Experience supervising environmental services, housekeeping, maintenance, or facilities operations.
Experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, preventive maintenance, and workplace safety practices.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and respond to facility needs.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
