Per Diem (4 days / 5 days) Every Weekend or Every Other Weekend
The Enclave at Rye is seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our dietary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a passion for providing quality meals in a healthcare and rehabilitation setting.
Our team is dedicated to creating a positive dining experience for residents while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and customer service.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements
Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with sanitation and safety guidelines
Review production sheets and prepare food in appropriate quantities
Assist with meal service and ensure timely delivery of meals
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and work areas
Properly store food and supplies following facility procedures
Work collaboratively with dietary staff and management
Follow all local, state, and federal food handling regulations
Qualifications
Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, nursing home, rehabilitation, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
