Position Overview The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care. The ADON plays a key leadership role in maintaining regulatory compliance, staff development, and clinical excellence within our skilled nursing facility.
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Key Responsibilities - Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing operations
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state (Florida), and local regulations, including AHCA guidelines
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
- Participate in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Oversee infection control, risk management, and patient safety programs
- Assist with surveys and audits, ensuring survey readiness at all times
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal resident care
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Qualifications - Current, active Florida RN license (required)
- Minimum 2-3 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility (ADON, Unit Manager, or similar role preferred)
- Strong knowledge of AHCA regulations, CMS guidelines, and long-term care compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage staff and drive clinical outcomes
