RN Unit ManagerThe Emerald Peek Rehabilitation & Nursing Center Position Overview:The Emerald Peek Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to step into a Unit Manager role. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations of a nursing unit, ensuring quality resident care, and providing leadership to both licensed and non-licensed staff within a skilled nursing setting.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage and coordinate daily clinical operations for an assigned unit
- Complete required documentation including reports, evaluations, care plans, and medical records
- Supervise nursing staff, including coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Support staff development through training and one-on-one education
- Oversee and maintain quality assurance initiatives within the unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to ensure continuity of care
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and clinical standards
- Serve as a point of contact for residents, families, and staff, addressing concerns professionally
- Make sound clinical and operational decisions in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications: - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Prior supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care, or related healthcare setting preferred
- Strong understanding of clinical practices, long-term care regulations, and compliance standards
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain organized and manage multiple responsibilities
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Compensation & Benefits: - Salary up to $120,000 annually (based on experience)
