RN Unit Manager to oversee clinical operations for a designated nursing unit. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative leadership team in a fast-paced rehabilitation and long-term care environment.
Position Overview The RN Unit Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising nursing services on an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee daily operations of a 40-bed nursing unit, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Address staff performance, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary
- Complete required documentation such as assessments, reports, audits, and care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of resident care
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies
- Make sound clinical and administrative decisions in a timely manner
Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care preferred)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Solid understanding of clinical practices, regulatory standards, and long-term care operations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Must demonstrate reliability and consistent attendance
Compensation & Benefits - Salary up to $120,000 annually
