What you will be doing? The BHT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the Behavioral Health Technicians and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients served. Under the direction of the Executive Director, they work collaboratively with departmental leaders as well as external providers in the treatment/recovery community. The BHT Supervisor maintains oversight and management of expenses related to the operations of the department. As a leader, they will adhere to the mission and consistently promote and role model the core values of BriteLife Recovery.
What tasks are required? - Defines and assigns duties to BHT team members.
- Supervises and schedules the BHTs to meet clinical and operational needs.
- Promotes a healthy recovery environment by coordinating in-house speakers and off-site recovery meetings for the clients.
- Audits documentation entered into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) by the BHTs to ensure information is timely and accurate.
- Hires, supervises, and engages in corrective action planning when indicated.
- Manages payroll for team.
- Develops a yearly staffing plan that considers census and program needs. Continuously monitors staffing patterns to meet plan.
- Trains all BHT staff on admission process, job duties, and completes the Training Needs Assessment & Training Plan for each supervisee.
- Develops a monthly recreational schedule of activities and coordinates resources and transportation for execution. Communicates with ancillary service providers and the Clinical Director to ensure synergy between departments regarding the schedule.
- Attends all multi department meetings (i.e., Flash Meeting, MDT Meeting, and Multi Dept Meeting) to provide milieu observations.
- Oversees the facilitation of Community Meetings led by the technicians.
- Manages the transportation schedule of all admissions, discharges, and other appointments as needed.
- Meets mutually established metrics and goals established with the Executive Director.
- Works collaboratively with the Leadership team to set goals and promote corporate initiatives.
- Works collaboratively with Clinical and Nursing departments to ensure treatment fidelity/ consistency.
- Positively promotes BriteLife Recovery to prospective clients and employees.
- Leads by example.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What we need from you? - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency.
- Experience in substance use disorders treatment preferred.
- Ability to lead and promote corporate and department initiatives.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner.
- Ability to monitor activities of individuals in need of substance abuse treatment.
- Ability to screen for danger to self or others.
- Demonstrated adherence to acceptable ethical and behavioral standards of conduct.
- Participation in continuing Professional Development.
- Ability to provide education and information to individuals and groups, through formal and/or informal processes, concerning their substance abuse with guidance of Clinical Director.
- Ability to manage and follow procedures in crisis situations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
